Have you ever thought about where the vegetable in our supermarkets is from?

Winter is high season of the “invernaderos”, the green gold in El Ejido, Andalusia, Spain. To be able to deliver countries like Germany, France, Sweden, Switzerland and the UK there is a need of a great number of cheap workers. Most of them are from Africa. Immigrants without papers. They have no rights, no security.

In my short movie “Tristana” i tried to visualize the dangerous way from Marocco over the sea gate of Gibraltar to the promised land Spain. It is a journey of hope and desesperation.

erasmus in valencia

I got the great chance to study the spring semester 2012 in Valencia, Spain. This is why I won’t be available in Switzerland from the beginning of February till June. But I will keep you up to date and hope to be able to present pictures from Spain soon. And I am looking forward to meet you in summer!

The other day I got this great surprise from ProSpecieRara. They made the Christmas card of this year with a photograph of my goat Nina. The goal of ProSpecieRara is to preserve endangered domestic races in Switzerland. The Peacock Goat has almoast been vanished in the middle of the twentieth century. Thanks to systematic breeding the Peacock Goat with its special colour is the pride of many goat growers today. Have a look ProSpecieRara‘s homepage.

october wedding – edit

I had the pleasure to accompany F. and R. on their wonderful wedding in the end of October. We were lucky because the weather could not have been better, which can not be taken for granted in Switzerland’s October. Nevertheless, the ceremony in the forest, the apero with view over the mountains and an happy relaxed celebration made this wedding a day to remember! Enjoy the pictures.
